The Swivel Wheel (or
Free Wheel) Style:
A swivel wheel jogging stroller (or
Free Wheeler) is especially useful
for parks and areas that are for
more busy with other people and activity,
where maneuverability is a pretty
important. This is also a good choice
if you are looking for the ability
for both walking and running. They
tend to be more convenient for traveling
or running shopping errands (they
are easy to maneuver in malls). Some
of these strollers let you lock the
front wheel in place for traditional
jogger function and swiveling for
great maneuverability when you need
it. A great choice would be the Schwinn

The Fixed Wheel Style:
Fixed wheel joggers such as the Schwinn
Joyrider Jogging Stroller are
the traditional form of jogging
stroller. The fixed front wheel
tracks in a straight line with
minimal input from you and the
larger wheels mean a smoother
ride for your baby. This way
you can focus more on your running
stride and less on actually controlling
the stroller. The fixed front
wheel is ideal for jogging, because
it provides the stability and
straight tracking that you need.
Which should you choose? If
you are going to be mostly running
or jogging, the fixed wheel such
as the Joyrider would be the
best fit for ease of use. If
you are predominately going to
be walking, then the swivel wheel
(free wheeler) would be a good
choice because of the flexibility.
Both styles of Schwinn
Jogging Stroller are available
in the single or double model. |
